This old fashioned Chinese dessert parlour has resided in Market Village Mall for almost 25 years, because it is one of the best places in Toronto for classic Chinese desserts. My favourite, the Black Sesame Soup is rich in roasted nutty flavour, and not too sweet. Yes, it looks like black sludge, but don’t hold that against it.
On my latest visit, I found the soup more watery than I remembered; I would have preferred a thicker consistency. However, it still tasted delicious. I also recommend the black sesame dumplings in a ginger soup.

Sadly, I have only tried the powder pack products to which you just add hot water at home. I do not recommend it.
