Grasshopper features delicious vegetarian and vegan food in disguise.
The Chick-un Nuggets are actually seitan in a crispy breadcrumb batter, but was indistinguishable from actual chicken fingers. The “Pulled Pork” Banh Mi was also seitan, and though it could not be mistaken for pulled pork, it had good texture, and was fresh and flavourful. The accompanying Kale Salad was unexpectedly tender as a result of a massage technique. I also tried the Sesame Fries, which had the twist of being cooked in sesame oil, giving it a unique flavour.
