I opted for the Gushi Original, four pieces of fried chicken over rice (I started eating before I remembered to take a photo), while my dining companion opted for Gyudon Beef. We both found our meals to be flavourful and tender, with the added benefit of eating outside on a beautiful summer afternoon. The portions were perfect, and the rice was also super delicious.
Part of the Scadding Court Community Centre’s Market 707, Gushi Japanese Street Food is housed in a converted container at the corner of Dundas St. and Bathurst St. It’s worth a trip if you’re in Toronto, since it houses a lot of delicious food in one area (see the list of vendors here), especially during their special events. In fact, I’m going there for the weekly farmer’s market later today.
