We count down the days to Christmas by unveiling 24 magical Kdrama moments. Next up, “Big”.
Episode 12 of Big
Gil Da Ran (Lee Min Jung) is waiting for Kang Gyung Joon, the high school student who is inhabiting her fiancé’s (Gong Yoo) body. She has been fiddling with her engagement ring, because of her growing attraction towards Gyung Joon.
Gyung Joon arrives and confronts her right away about her feelings for him. As he tries to draw closer, Da Ran blocks him by putting on her engagement ring. Gyung Joon clasps her hand in his, preventing the ring from sliding down her finger.
Da Ran initially struggles to separate her hand from Gyung Joon’s. As their heads draw closer together, Da Ran melts into Gyung Joon’s kiss, and the ring goes clattering to the ground. Da Ran and Gyung Joon fail to even notice as they engage in the show’s one and only hot kiss.
When they separate, Da Ran is immediately stricken with guilt at having kissed another man in her fiancé’s body. Gyung Joon bluntly tells her that she cheated, and laughs at her self-flagellation. And, that is what you get for kissing a teenager, even if the teenager looks and kisses like Gong Yoo.

It kills me the potential this show had and didn’t live up to. But that is a great scene.

This has been on my “to watch ” list since I have started watching kdrama. I feel like I need to watch this as a right of passage but the bad reviews outweigh the good so I don’t.. I don’t.. I am just confused.

If you like Gong Yoo, you should watch this. He just looks so good! As long as you’re prepared for everything else to be mediocre.

Yup, Gong Yoo is pretty much the main attraction for this drama. Then ending still makes me a bit cranky.
