Episode Recap
Soo Kyung is giddily pondering with her Pomeranian, Barassi, the reason why Dae Young kissed her. Dae Young is also fondly remembering their smooch. Only the losing end of the love triangle, Jin Yi is crying in her apartment.
Unfortunately, both Soo Kyung and Dae Young are inept in following up on the kiss. Their mixed messages and false starts result in frustration on both sides.
At work, Soo Kyung confirms with business manager, Kyu Sik that she and the boss, Attorney Kim are not dating. He instantly ceases to curry favour with her. However, Attorney Kim has decided to continue wooing Soo Kyung, in spite of her decision not to date him.
Meanwhile, Jin Yi has not given up on Dae Young either. She gifts him with the arm holder that she made, then claims a kiss as payment. Dae Young pushes her away, and reiterates the absence of romantic feelings he has towards her. This does not stop Jin Yi from encouraging Attorney Kim to try his best in pursuit of Soo Kyung, and singing his praises to Soo Kyung over lunch.
Former delivery boy, Kwang Suk is rifling through Jin Yi’s apartment when she returns unexpectedly. He overhears Jin Yi telling her mother about good news from Attorney Kim. It turns out that Jin Yi’s father will be released on probation.
The misunderstandings continue when Jin Yi tries to dissuade Soo Kyung from dating Dae Young by revealing that he kissed her, too. Meanwhile, Jin Yi feeds into Dae Young’s mistaken belief that Soo Kyung is moving out.
In spite of her doubts about Dae Young’s feelings, Soo Kyung stands by hers. She reveals this to Attorney Kim to get him to stop pursuing her.
Jin Yi ends up commiserating over beer with Kwang Suk who can barely contain his outrage over her father being released, and his disdain at her love triangle being her most difficult experience ever. Kwang Suk chillingly offers to help Jin Yi disappear in order to prompt Dae Young to worry about her.
Soo Kyung and Dae Young finally run into each other, and pent up resentment allows them to be forthright and honest with each other. Having finally come to an understanding, they hold hands.
When Dae Young and Soo Kyung call Jin Yi to speak about their relationship, she refuses to answer her phone, as per her plan to cause Dae Young to worry about her. A stone faced Kwang Suk brings Jin Yi to the roof of the building her father built. Once there, he angrily reveals that his father committed suicide at this very building, because of her father. Jin Yi is backed onto the edge of the building by a threatening Kwang Suk.
Comments
What a nasty piece of work Jin Yi became, sabotaging the relationship between Soo Kyung and Dae Young, even after Dae Young has made it clear that he has no interest in her. It makes Kwang Suk’s plans for revenge feel like just desserts for the princess, which is unfortunate since this lessens the tension of the cliffhanger.
On the plus side, the relationship between Soo Kyung and Dae Young is surprisingly cute, even though it feels rushed.
For once, the food felt like an afterthought to the story, though everyone was still eating orgasmically in the midst of heartache.
Yieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~
Also, go Barras-sshi. You got lots of treats this ep!
I refuse to comment on Jin-yi’s Princessness. (Though that counts as a comment too. Hehe)

There won’t be any Barassi in “Let’s Eat 2”, but let’s hope there isn’t any jealous second female lead, either.
