We came across Cevabdzinica Sarajevo by chance, immediately drawn to the promise of grilled meats. The mixed meat platter took the decision out of our hands so that we were able to sample a variety of meats: ćevap sausage, chicken kebabs, veal livers, kidneys, and hearts. The platter came with a side of red pepper puree, and ljepina (pita bread).
The ćevap consisted of minced beef with garlic and onion.
When it came to drinks, we selected whatever we could not recognize. It turns out that Cockta and Jupi taste pretty much like cola and orange pop, respectively.
It was funny to note that the restaurant clientele consisted of Bosnian expats, and Asians. Both could appreciate the magic of grilled meat.
