By the time we arrived at Friedman’s Lunch in Chelsea Market, they had run out of bacon and roast beef. So, I chose the Apple Tarragon Chicken Salad Sandwich with lettuce & tomato on whole wheat bread, and was thrilled with my third choice menu item.
Whereas my sandwich tasted light and refreshing, my significant other’s Grilled Pastrami Reuben Sandwich with sauerkraut, Swiss cheese & Russian dressing on rye bread was heavy, though equally fantastic. You would think that the Reuben sandwich would feel like too much of good thing, but you would be wrong.
