We got the Nobu tasting menu, so I can’t really identify the dishes we had with any confidence. While I found everything very fresh, the chef seemed to favour sweetness in many of the dishes. I am not a fan of traditionally savoury dishes made sweet, but I have had my mind changed by well executed dishes that balanced the sweet perfectly. This was not the case at Nobu.
When a restaurant is as expensive and highly lauded as Nobu, I expected to be thrilled and surprised. Unfortunately, I only found Nobu moderately satisfying, which at this level, is a fail.
