Tasty Tuesday: Xi’an Famous Foods

Xi’an Famous Foods is a New York based chain that is rapidly expanding. Thanks to famous fans like Andrew Zimmern and Anthony Bourdain, the hand-pulled noodles gained notice, and the owner’s college-educated son grabbed opportunity.

I ordered the Spicy Cumin Lamb Hand-Ripped Noodles (see above). I found it a little too oily and heavy; like it was covered with the hot sauce that I would normally use as a condiment.

My significant other ordered the Spicy & Tingly Beef Hand-Ripped Noodles in Soup. He enjoyed the chewiness of the noodles.

The food was pretty tasty and an affordable option in Manhattan.
