Episode 16 of My Love From The Stars
Cheon Song Yi (Jeon Ji Hyun) walks away from alien, Do Min Joon (Kim Soo Hyun), after calling him selfish for toying with her emotions. Min Joon uses his powers to light up the buildings around them, then flies her through the air into his arms. Claiming that this is the most selfish thing he can do, he kisses her.
Song Yi breaks away from Min Joon, and asks if he likes her. Min Joon is at a loss for words. Song Yi goes into a rant about aliens kissing girls they don’t like. When she finally does turn to face Min Joon, she finds him gasping on the ground.
Song Yi drags Min Joon to his car, complaining about his tendency to pass out from kissing. Showing genuine concern, Song Yi drives recklessly back to his apartment. She drops Min Joon in his foyer before managing to drag him into bed.
Song Yi then subjects an ailing Min Joon to an interrogation on what he is capable of doing, if not kissing. Fed up with her questions, Min Joon pulls Song Yi to his chest, and confirms that he can do this much. Song Yi is pleased as punch, but protests a little for the sake of appearances.
Once she has made herself comfortable, Song Yi begins another line of questioning about whether Min Joon loves her, or the girl that she resembles. Just when it appears that Song Yi has been giving a monologue to an unconscious body, Min Joon answers that his kiss was meant for Cheon Song Yi. Song Yi snuggles into Min Joon’s arms.
Later, when Song Yi is being lectured by her younger brother about what animals men are, Song Yi insists that Min Joon was in no condition for hanky panky. “We couldn’t do anything! Nothing!” Song Yi shouts in exasperation.
This scene perfectly encapsulates one of the best things about the series: the dynamic between Song Yi and Min Joon. She is ridiculous while he is emotionally stunted, but they work so well together. It’s too bad about the enforced chastity, but at least the skinship was cute, and Song Yi voices the frustration of the viewers.
