A recent addition to the Grand Central Market in Downtown Los Angeles, La Tostaderia bills itself as a “Mexican cevichería with a menu featuring both traditional and inventive recipes”.
Coming from Toronto, we were on a mission to stuff as much fresh seafood into our faces as we could in LA, and this place certainly fit the bill. We ordered Mexican Wild Shrimp Ceviche (above) and Peruvian Octopus Tacos, and split them. Both options were fresh, though the Octopus Tacos had the edge in terms of flavour. I’m looking forward to going back next time I’m in LA.
